Ashvin Harrison

I aim to express the beauty in existence through my unique made up style of art. You will see the use of charcoal in all my art pieces as I'm driven to use this dead tree matter to create beautiful representations of life. Through the use of paint, I express my emotions. When you purchase one of my original paintings, you will notice the alluring colour, expressive sense of motion and the fine detailed charcoal brushwork. My art keeps me motivated to enjoy the beautiful nature around me, whilst nature inspires me to create art each day... Charcoal is my voice.

Drift and Anchor

I’ve created another piece to add to my growing series of marine themed artworks. I love old and worn objects, so I place emphasis on the chips and dents in this anchor to show age and story. I then added splashes of acrylics, including a rich ocean turquoise, of which the richness and deepness of colour is greater in person. I’m yet to master the photography of this one Matisse turquoise colour .

I’m starting to create more works on rolled canvas as this allows for my usual thick acrylic application, though provides more options for the art collector in framing or backing. I’ve allowed an extra 1-2cm on the edges for this so you can frame, back or simply trim and pin up on your wall. This artwork will fit a standard A2 frame. The example photos don’t show the extra 1-2cm edges.

I created this unique style of photorealism/abstract expressionism art a few years ago. 300+ of my art pieces have sold to collectors worldwide. All are safely shipped express with insurance to the door. All my art is sealed with charcoal and acrylic fixatives and include a new updated certificate of authenticity.
